Proofing and client approval for design studios, with a signed record

Screens from VISTO, a proofing and approval tool for design studios, on desktop, tablet and mobile

01The brief

For a design studio doing packaging, Amazon content and ads, the round of corrections is what eats the most time, and it lives on WhatsApp. Nobody is sure which version is current, a "yes, go ahead" in a chat doesn't say who approved which file, and feedback arrives as a four-minute voice note instead of a point on the piece.

02The approach

The client never creates an account: a private link and their name. They drop marks at exact points on the artwork, relative to the piece, so a mark lands in the same place on a monitor and on a phone, and then decide: approve or ask for changes. The approval is the product: it creates a record signed with a SHA-256 hash of the version, the verdict, the name, the date and every file shown. Deliveries come as sets, so an Amazon A+ with its desktop, mobile and listing modules is one proof with one decision.

03The outcome

In use at our studio since October 2026, on its own server and connected to our Amazon production workflow. A dark light table with bleed and safe area guides, a curtain to compare versions, and a folder importer that reads a delivery as it already sits on disk. The screens come from a demo instance loaded with our own pieces already published in this portfolio; the live instance is not shown because it holds client work in progress.
